Kingswood D 1( James Preston 1, Mark Lucraft 0, Richard Pond 0) +21 point
advantage didn't deter a determined Selex A team (KW).
(Selex B 4, Bluehouse C 5) Selex sailed into a 3-1 lead but a
crucial win by Dave Reynolds over Clive Wheeler 26-24 in the 3rd turned the
tide. A fiercely competitive contest saw 6 of the sets go the full distance, the
match finally ending at 11.30 in spite of two tables being used for the last
four sets. Dave completed a hat-trick by beating Graham Farmer in three and also
Gary Hartgrove in another match winner 25-23,25-23. Karen Faulkner added the
other two points, completing the victory with a win against Clive in three.
Graham finished the evening by overcoming Mark Jupe in yet another nail biting
duel 27-25 in the final end, but this was all in vain as unknown to the other
players Karen had already sealed the result on the other table in the concurrent
game.
