Chairman’s Report on the Basildon Championships
March 13th/14th 2010
First I would like to
thank all the people who helped over the weekend with the loading and
unloading of the table tennis tables etc and to Colin Clements who helped
run the event from the control table.
I thank all the players
who entered the tournament this year and hope you enjoyed the facilities at
the James Hornsby School.
Some of the table
tennis was so good to watch. Most of the honours went to Kevin Caldon in the
Mens and Veterans events and Linda Attridge in the Ladies events, all the
winners will be on our web site soon.
I would also like to
thank Ken Field, the Chairman of Southend and District Table tennis League,
for letting us hire the tables from Southend, and Jayne Johnson for setting
out the times and schedule for the tournament.
I would like to thank
my wife Linda for doing all the food for the weekend in the canteen and of
course a big thanks goes to Jamie Willson for running the whole event from
start to finish.
